The logical next step for a high-performance movement is a high-tech case. Palladium, titanium and ceramic replace satin-finished stainless steel, and rubber takes place of the calf’s leather strap. The use of high-tech materials like titanium, palladium and ceramics in combination with rubber opens up entirely new dimensions for the TravelTec and puts it on a different – almost cosmic – plane. For the case, Carl F. Bucherer’s engineers chose finest-quality palladium, while the bezel is made of scratchproof ceramic. Titanium was the material of choice for the monopusher and the buckle on the rubber strap. Other features of the high-tech movement are the skeletonized dial, the rubber overlays on the chronograph buttonsand the crown, and the Carl F. Bucherer logo engraved into the sapphire glass.
